Definitely yes, coz you never know what is actually on the item you are consuming. If you are thinking that the fruit or whatever organic item you are taking won’t have anything on it, then you are mistaken. The air can carry chemicals from nearby conventional fields to your organic field and throw it in your area making the organic items washable.
At the same time, if you are purchasing an organic item from the market, you never know the producer may have processed organic and conventional products at the same warehouse.
Moreover, the main purpose of washing the organic food items should be to get rid of the germs. After all, the E. coli spinach outbreak of 2006 was also packed as organic spinach and it caused severe consequences.
